The flood-prone site at the former Shrines building's parking lot, at East Front and Broad Street, presents an interesting challenge. The library, envisioned as a hub for lifelong learning and community interaction, will feature resilient and regenerative design strategies. It offers a variety of resources, including physical and online collections, technology, and mentorship in adaptable spaces. Providing universal access to education and information, the library supports rich learning experiences and community engagement with both analog and digital resources. Designed to adapt to environmental extremes, the building promotes a harmonious balance between physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being while regenerating the natural environment.
